Volunteers wanted!
If you want to experience life in the Catalan mountains, come stay with us for a while. We´re a group of international people living in an old cement quarry. Work is mainly needed in the garden, but there are other possibilites including cooking, construction, mechanics, metalworking, woodworking, taking care of animals, etc. Lot´s of opportunities for hiking, biking, walking, swimming, and climbing. Accomodation is rudimentary (caravan or room in old factory) but we do have plenty of electricity, running hot water, and unlimited internet. Camping also a possibility. Heat in the winter is from woodstoves and we cut our own firewood from the land.
We´re starting a small permaculture project, with our garden and we also have a large 5 x 15 m greenhouse to put up.
We have several animals, 2 donkeys, 3 dogs, 5 cats, and chickens and ducks. We have a large (400 sq m) garden, which we´re expanding, and lots of space to make more. We have 72+ hectares with two ruins and a small stream so there are opportunities for just about anything.
We speak English, Dutch, Spanish, Catalan, German, and some French.
Feel free to ask questions! We´re here year round, though we need more help in the summer as in the winter it does get quite cold and we spend most of our time collecting firewood for the nights and working outside during the day trying to stay warm!
We live 5 km from the nearest small town, and 20 from a large town. If you don´t have a car you can come to town with us when we go.

Si quieres venir a disfrutar la vida in las montanas de Cataluña, viene a vivir con nosotros por un tiempo. Somos un grupo pequeño de gente internacional viviendo en una vieja cantera. El huerto seria lo mas importante para nosotros, pero hay muchas mas posibilidades como cocinar, construcción, mecánico, herrería, carpintería, cuidando los animales, etc. Muchas oportunidades para las excursionistas y ciclistas, y hay sitios para nadar y escalar. Alojamiento es rudimental, (una caravana o un habitación in la vieja fabrica) pero si que tenemos de sobre de electricidad, agua caliente, y internet ilimitado. Tambien hay la possibilidad de acampar. Nos calentamos por invierno con estufas de llena, que cortamos de los nuestros arboles.
Estamos empezando un proyecto de permacultura, con nuestro huerto y también tenemos un invernadero 5 x 15 m para construir.
Tenemos unos animales, 2 burras, 3 perras, 5 gatos, gallinas y patos. Tenemos un grande (400 m3) huerto, que esta en expansión, y mucho espacio para hacer mas. Tenemos 72+ hectáreas con dos ruinas y un río pequeño, entonces hay oportunidades para casi todo.
Hablamos Ingles, Holandés, Español, Catalán, Alemán, y un poco de Francés.
No tengas miedo de preguntar! Estamos aquí todo el año, pero necesitamos mas ayuda por el verano que el invierno que hace mucho frío y gastamos los días cortando leña y haciendo trabajillos.
Vivimos 5 km de el pueblo mas cercano, y hay un ciudad a 20. Si no tienes transporte puedes venir con nosotros cuando vamos al pueblo.
